American made hooks

The Eagle Claw brand has a rich history dating back over 90 years. Founded in Denver, Colorado in 1925, the Wright & McGill Co began with two young fishermen Drew McGill and Stan Wright formed the Wright & McGill Co.

Drew McGill took inspiration for his innovative hook designs from that of an eagle’s claw as he observed the birds on a fishing trip. Wright & McGill registered the Eagle Claw trade mark in 1938 and the legend was born. Since that day, the world-famous Eagle Claw fishhooks have always been Made in the USA.

Pioneers in hook manufacturing techniques, Wright & McGill Co. launched their advanced Lazer Sharp needle point range 1985 and Trokar competition level hooks with patented Surgically Sharpened Technology®(SST) in 2002, the Wright & McGill company continue to push the boundaries of hook manufacture to this day.
